excuse me while I go on a little rant:
It takes faith. Knowing there is something powerful out there, knowing there is a God, takes faith. The sheer definition of faith is "a strong belief is a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny." Maybe you haven't had the experience that proves to you that there is a God, but ignorance is not the only answer. Ignorance is defined as "lack of knowledge or education." So educate yourself. Learn about the religion that you are so against, and learn it in a modern view. Christians no longer stone sinners or behead adulterers; we are not evil or mean. The way I view religion is that it is different to everyone. You can believe that there is something, but you just don't know what. You can believe that there is nothing, and that's fine too. You can be a complete bible thumper like the girls in my geology class, but that's cool too. It's all up to you, no one is shoving their beliefs down anyones throats. Believe that cows are sacred, or that you have to go to the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia to pray in unison, or believe that you are stuck in purgatory until you debt is paid, or you have to kneel within the service. It doesn't matter. We all believe in something. And if you don't that's cool. But please, do not go around preaching about how you are going to burn in hell because you do not believe in anything.
There's a reason I have faith tattooed on my hip. Because it means something to me, and it will always be a part of my life. So do not question my intention in my faith when you have none.

hearts, hugs, and squeaks
hey all!
Wow last week was busy! But we had our spring concert on friday which was AMAZING! We had The Band Perry, Thompson Square, and a local opener called Trusted Stranger. It was a great concert! The stage was set up thursday night (i had class:/), and then more set up continued on friday. We were there at noon and left around 1 then came back and left and then came back at 4 to meet The Band Perry. THEY ARE SO NICE!! :) haha they signed my event pass and called me lovely lady, and they called Alisha pretty girl. Alisha and I did wristbands (so people could get in and out) from 6:30 to about 8:15 and then we got to go watch. Most of UPAC ended up on the side of the stage, it was super fun because we were SO close!

It doesn't look that close, but one step to my right and I was on the stairs to go on stage! It went really well and everyone loved the show!
And yesterday I was lazy all day which was super nice because my week had been super crazy. Kind of like how this week is going to be, but not as bad. SPeaking of which, this week will be busy. Especially tuesday, thursday and friday, so I probably will not update again until wednesday or saturday. :P haha life of a college student, right?
OHH!! I GOT STAFF AT SPIRIT IN THE PINES :) FOr those of you that don't know, it's a camp that my church owns/runs. I was a counselor/CIT there for 3 years and now I get to be there ALL summer! :)

6 Months Later..
I was listening to the song from Glee last week, called "Get It Right". It inspired me to write this.
I never quite know what to say anymore. I keep trying to find a way to say goodbye to you, but I can never bring myself to do it. I need this closure. I need an end. So goodbye.
Goodbye to all the laughs.
Goodbye to all the memories.
Goodbye to all my letter and poems.
Goodbye to the smiles from then.
Goodbye to the nights I spent crying over you.
Goodbye to all the tears.
Goodbye to the pain.
Goodbye to all my prayers about you.
Goodbye to what I thought was LOVE.
That wasn't love. You don't treat someone you love like that. You wouldn't do what you did to me, to someone you love. I'm done being pulled along.
I'm done thinking you'll change.
I'm done thinking I was special.
I'm done wishing you were the person I once knew.
You might have been important to me then, but I am fine without you now. So goodbye, because I'm done.

I'm Not Irish
HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY :)
and happy birthday Erin!!:)
Well. I have a really crazy week coming up so this might be my last update for a while.
My brother is now in drivers ed so I suggest driving in head-to-to football/hockey padding. Who knows what this kids driving will be like!

As of today, I am okay. I have a very hectic week. 3 tests. and I have to start my final paper. and I have things to do every night. and i have UPAC and the concert. And we're running mugshots on thursday. oofta! haha but anyway. I'm writing my final english paper on this history of hip hop and rap, then lil wayne and a comparison of his music to something. Don't know the details yet but I feel like such a nerd for being excited.

I dislike technology. At least, right now I do. blargh. so frustrated. Oh well. Wish me luck this week!

Words Words Words
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW GRUETTNER!
Someone PLEASE tell me that they know where the title is from. Anyone that graduated from EP, or is a senior now, should know because we alllll read the same book!
Haha well anyway, I was at school for maybe 3 hours before I felt all the stress again. It's not fun. But really, this week isn't horrible anymore. My geology test got pushed back to next week, which will then be the death of me. No joke. So much stuff is going on from the 23rd-26th. I feel like my head might explode. This is all part of college, right? Or am I just crazy? Probably parts of both.
OH!! So EP won the boys state hockey championship :) It was a really fun night. After being disappointed with the student body because of the controversial article, they truly redeemed themselves. At least, I believe they did. The boys did really well and deserved the win. Maybe Kyle will even get Mr. Hockey? Who knows. I really wish Winona had hockey. It's almost like I'm going through hockey detox. No me gusta. You would think that WINONA, land of snow and cold, would have hockey. But no. whaaaaaaaat?!?! Ugh.
On a happier note, stats was cancelled today. And I;m going to see "Red Riding Hood" tonight with a bunch of AWESOME people! :) They know who they are. haha GOOFY GOOBERS :D Well, I am going to keep writing my English paper. I just needed a little break, but I have to be productive at some point..

We're Young and We're Bored

Wednesday (2/22/11):
Hahaha sorry. I'm in a really good mood because my mass communications and society class was cancelled :D Meaning I get to actually finish my homework EARLY! :) Yay for sleep! But anyway.. I've been stressed lately. It's just been a lot to deal with, but oh well :) Tis the price I pay, right?!
Wednesday (3/2/11):
Well I am back in Mass Comm! It doesn't start for almost 15 minutes, but eh. I'm bored. If anyone can guess the name of the song that the title came from, they win a prize :) haha more like a hug, but it still counts, right?! Anyway. I get to go home friday. SO. EXCITED. haha I just need to relax and see my family. But really, there's nothing new. Absolutely nothing. I'm writing a paper in English that I am actually enjoying for once but reading a book that I despise. :) Ah well. It was really funny actually, we went and listened to the Writer speak in class and then we had to write a reflection and tie it to our thoughts on the book. HEHE :D I was not so nice. Oh well. Happens. Aiight ya'll. Time for me to pay attention.
